猫かわいがり! Cat affection.
[ Day 17, 11:06am - The Conservatory ]

Cheri wanders aimlessly through the conservatory, admiring the calm, cool ambiance of the room. She had always liked coming here. It was located in an older part of the castle, but it was still bright and airy, and despite the presence of other kinds of flowers, it always smelled faintly of jasmine. She wonders whether someone in the days of old had ever kept the pretty white flowers in here. Maybe she'd do that sometime. Such a nice scent, jasmine...

She has stopped to admire a painting she's never noticed before when she feels a tugging at the very back of her long gown. Eh? Has she gotten it caught on something? Cheri crinkles her forehead and glances over her shoulder, but she can't quite see what's pulling it down. Maaa, how troublesome these gowns were! Slightly chagrined now, Cheri takes a step forward to free herself -- only to be surprised by a soft thump and a mewling sound.

Ehhhhh? What is this? A tiny kitten seems to be clinging to the back of her hem -- caught on the lace by its little claws. Poor thing!

"Ohhhhh," she croons, "where did you come from?"

The kitten just stares up at her with big blue-gray eyes and mews. With a smile, Cheri reaches down and tugs it free. He looks a little like Gwendal's cat, except he's much smaller and has a lot more white in his coat. Hmmmmm. She doesn't know a whole lot about animals, but the kitten looks soft and tiny and adorable and before she knows it, she's scooped him up into her arms. On a whim Cheri rubs behind his ears and giggles in delight when he purrs happily. Ohhhhh, how cute! No wonder Gwen likes cats so much. ♥♥

Well. First there were strange pandas, and now cute kittens wandering about. But thanks to an unexpected conversation, Cheri already knows to whom this little one belongs...

He spent most of the night tossing and turning after his cake incident with Gunter. After coming to the realization that he was wasting time he busied himself with the endless paperwork.

He actually caught up. With nothing else to do he decided to venture to the conservatory for some relaxing atmosphere.

He was surprised to see his mother there, especially crouching to scratch behind the ears of a kitten.

"Mother," he calls, startling her. "I didn't realize you had a kitten."

Cheri looks up, surprised. Gwen was actually out of his office! Would wonders ever cease around this place?

"Hi darling!" she calls back, smiling. "I actually don't have a kitten. I just found this little one wandering around -- or actually, he found me."

When Gwendal reaches her she stands up and holds the kitten out to him. "I think he might belong to Wolf. Not our Wolf, but the other one. Isn't he sweeeeet?" ♥

He can't resist and takes the kitten from his mother's arm. It really is quite cute. He pets it on the head and almost smiles as it purrs in response. "Yes, I suppose he is sweet," he agrees.

A kitten such as this wouldn't have traveled far from his master. He glances towards the door, almost certain the other Wolfram will be along any moment.

He reluctantly hands the kitten back to his mother. "Things are well?" He asks.

Shortly after this, he started to walk around aimlessly for a bit, but moments later he decided to forget about looking for Yuuri.

He looked up and found himself just near the conservatory, with two certain people a several inches away from him, talking to each other. He sighed as he saw Cheri holding his kitten, who he guessed was his brother probably let out in the morning when he left the room.

He felt like turning around and going the other way, but since he noticed that Gwendal was looking in his direction, he didn't know if he was the one he'd met a while ago, but he headed through the door and quietly approached them.

Gwendal saw his younger brother from a different mother....er...world in the hallway. He looked tempted to turn away, but upon being caught entered the room.

"Greetings Wolfram, I believe this belongs to you," Gwendal said gesturing towards the kitten. "Have you been searching for long?"

"Um, hi..." he finally spoke, almost reluctantly as if he was afraid this Gwendal was like the one he knew back on his world. He wasn't used to talking to Gwendal at all really, but this one didn't seem like that so far, at least.

"Hmm, yeah, he does belongs me~" he nodded, as Gwendal gestured towards his kitten, "Uh, well actually I didn't realize he was gone, since he was asleep on my bed when I went to get breakfast this morning. I haven't been back to my room since then so he probably must have gotten outside if Conrad-niisan left. I would have been so worried if something did happen, but I'm glad nothing did and he didn't get too far~"

Was this Wolfram...nervous? He certainly seemed to be babbling. In that one minute explanation he learned more than he cared to know.

For one apparently he and Conrad were sharing a bed together. He shrugged internally, it was odd, but he supposed as long as they weren't really brothers considering they were from different dimensions that it didn't count as incest...right?

Gwendal tried to give the boy a warm expression, it probably came out as a grimace, that tended to happen. "You may have difficulties reclaiming him." He turned back to Cheri. "Mother seems to have taken quite the shine to him."

My, what a sweet disposition this Wolf seems to have. So unlike her own son. She's glad that the other Conrad has been keeping an eye on him -- he really has been overlooked, what with all the chaotic happenings recently. Poor thing. Ahh, if only her Conrad and Wolfram could be that close.

Cheri beams and pats Gwendal's arm. "Silly boy! I was merely keeping him for his owner, darling. If I had a pet I'd probably lose it off the side of my yacht or something."

She carefully extracts the kitten from her dress again (those teeny little claws! ♥) and gently hands him to Wolfy. "I think he went looking for you, actually. Have you and Conrad named him yet?"

He blinked, even though he earlier thought that this particular Gwendal wasn't so bad, there was just something about him that he didn't like.

He quickly turned to face Cheri, trying to ingnore it and smiled, "Yeah, he probably did"

He held out his arms and held onto his kitten as Cheri hands him over to him. "Oh~ uh, well, not yet. Conrad-niisan just got him for me yesterday,
so I haven't really thought of a name for him yet"

"Oh, that's right!" This version of Wolfram is sooo cuuute, she can hardly stand it. It's so hard to keep herself from dropping everything to just snuggle him right now. It's simply overpowering, what with his big innocent eyes and...erm, what are they talking about again? Oh, right, Wolfy's kitten. Ahahaha.

"We-ell," she continues, "like I told Conrad, Gwen here has a cat too. He knows a lot about animals, real and knitted, so don't be afraid to ask him anything!" She glomps onto Gwendal's arm again. "Gwen, darling, what is your cat's name again? I've forgotten."

Gwendal allowed himself to be glomped by his mother.

The name of his cat? Well...that reminded him actually hadn't seen his cat in some time. Hopefully it was still alive. He was suspicious that it was buried under paperwork somewhere in his office. Or more likely, it was out in the stables where he decided it could fend for itself eating rats.

"Fluffy," he answered. He said it in such a deadpanned voice, he practically dared anyone to scoff at the feline's name.

"Fluuuuuuuuuffy~!" Cheri trills, still holding onto Gwendal's arm. She completely ignores his serious expression. "That name is so charming, Gwen. He'll have to get used to having a new friend around, won't he?"

She beams again at Wolfram. "Are you enjoying your stay with us? Is this world much different from yours?"

He was surprised from hearing that this Gwendal had a cat, upon thinking of what the one he knew was like, he didn't expect to hear that.

"Oh...um. Yes, I am enjoying my stay here" he spoke, looking towards Cheri.

He paused since he asked him about his world, even he wasn't too sure himself, but he had to say something so say something.

"My world? Yeah, it's a lot different from this one, but mostly it's what people are like for the most part..." he shrugged.

Gwendal was quite adept at picking out evasive answers. And young Wolfram had just used one without doubt. "Perhaps a little more elaboration?" he asked. "Surely, the people of your world aren't blood thirsty vampires, or something of that nature."

Well it wasn't like Wolfram's world was going to affect the paperwork, so what did it really matter.

Gwendal detached himself from his mother and gave his younger brother's twin a brief nod of his head. "Do keep closer watch on your kitten, it is a young and innocent creature that could easily become mauled by crazy shape-shifting pandas."

"Eh?" Cheri looks from Wolfy's suddenly pouty face to Gwendal's stony one. Where is he going? And what in the world is he talking about?

"Crazy shape-shifting pandas? Maaa, Gwen, don't scare him!" She smiles and ruffles Wolfy's hair. "I'm sure your kitten will be happier spending time with you instead of wandering around in here by itself, darling."

He pouted, after hearing Gwendal's statement. No wonder there was something about this Gwendal he didn't like.He knew they weren't the same person, but he was just so much like the one he knew, in how he treated him.

He glad Gwendal was leaving now though, at least he could not be so nervous anymore.

As Cheri ruffles his hair reassuring him, he smiled back at her. "Mm~ yeah, you're probably right"
